This 16 week online course will address all aspects of analytical toxicology as they apply to analytical processes including:
- Applied statistical concepts
- Data analysis
- Quality assurance
- Method optimization
This unique course will also provide an in depth review of chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques. This course will also provide the foundation to enable scientists to think beyond the bench procedure and develop a career path to department supervisor, toxicologist, certifying scientist, or R&D. The course provides the basis to enable a scientist to prepare for the analytical portions of the ABFT exam.
All students will receive a membership to CHROMacademy, an e-learning website for analytical scientists. The site is a great resource with practical information and virtual instrumentation that will aid in improving your skills and productivity.
Who Should Participate
This course is designed for forensic and clinical toxicologists and chemists who are interested in enhancing their knowledge of analytical techniques.
Course Format and Schedule
Students will have access to 15 3-hour pre-recorded lectures available on demand for viewing convenience around work schedules. Lecture content is supplemented by complementary access to CHROM-academy, an e-learning website for analytical scientists. Additionally, students will have the ability to participate in a weekly one hour live streaming Q & A session with the course instructor on Fridays at 1:00pm EST. Successful completion of the course requires satisfactory performance on a cumulative exam.
