This 16 week online course consists of a combination of weekly in-depth lectures, self-study and practice exams covering all areas of the study curriculum for major forensic toxicology certification boards.
Topics covered include:
- drug and alcohol effects,
- analytical approach,
- quality assurance
- interpretation of drug findings.
A weekly recitation and Q&A session with case examples are provided with each lecture.
This course ends 1 month before the ABFT exam is administered at SOFT.

Dr. Laura Labay is a practicing forensic toxicologist with both clinical and forensic Board certifications currently teaching courses on postmortem and human performance toxicology and best testimony practices.
