Forensic Criminalistics Board Certification Preparation Course – Online

This 16-week online course consists of a combination of weekly in-depth lectures, self-study and multiple-choice practice exams covering all areas of the study curriculum for major forensic criminalistics certification boards.
The first portion of the course covers all general subject areas of criminalistics including:
- Drug analysis
- Crime scene reconstruction
- Firearms and tool marks
- Molecular biology and DNA
- Fire debris and explosives
- Trace evidence
- Areas of criminal and civil law
While the second portion of the course allows greater depth of focus either in:
- Drug Analysis -OR-
- Molecular Biology
An open message board/online forum will be available for questions and class discussion.
Learn from experienced criminalists with a collective practical perspective on forensic materials/trace analysis, drug chemistry, and serology/forensic biology; take practice exams; receive feedback; and participate in online interactive sessions. The online format allows you to learn and study when it is convenient to you.
All instructors are certified through the American Board of Criminalistics.
Megan Foley is a practicing forensic biologist with both forensic casework and teaching experience. Currently, she teaches courses on both serological identification and basic and advances forensic genetics. She is currently is an ABC Fellow.
Sarah Keeling is a practicing drug chemist with both forensic casework and teaching experience, having taught courses on basic and advanced drug chemistry as well as applied topics in analytical chemistry. She currently is an ABC Fellow.
